New Funding to Support Healing and Recovery in Refuge
Date Written: 6 August, 2025

Funding
We’re pleased to announce that we’ve received funding from the PH Holt Foundation’s Action on Abuse Fund to enhance the emotional wellbeing and recovery of women and children living in our refuge.
The Grant
This grant will enable us to provide:
- Independent counselling and therapy for women who have experienced domestic abuse, helping them process trauma and begin to rebuild their lives.
- Specialist support for children and young people, including therapeutic play and emotional support tailored to their age and experiences.
- Additional hours from our Family Link Workers, who play a vital role in supporting families during their stay in refuge—helping them navigate services, build routines, and feel safe and supported.
These services are often the difference between surviving and truly beginning to heal.
What Will This Funding Help With?
With this funding, we can offer more consistent, trauma-informed care that meets the complex needs of families who have experienced abuse.
Thank You To The P.H. Holt Foundation!
We’re incredibly grateful to the P.H. Holt Foundation for recognising the importance of this work and for helping us create a refuge environment where recovery is possible.
